A GOOD CATHOLIC PRODUCTION

Not Made by Human Hands: The Miracle of Guadalupe

In a basilica in Mexico City, a 500-year-old image of the Blessed Virgin Mary hangs above the altar, framed in gold and protected by bulletproof glass.

This image was created by no known human artist. It contains no brushstrokes and no pigment found in the natural world. It is printed on cactus fiber, which should have disintegrated centuries ago.

Science has tried to explain it, but only uncovers more mysteries the deeper it looks.

What is this image that converted an entire race, created a new country, changed the course of history, and became the most-visited Marian image in the world? Where did it come from and why is it here?

We, the Good Catholic team, have decided to find out. We’re delving deep into the history, mystery, marvels, and miracles of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

We’re going fearlessly into the ancient world of the Aztecs, their tumultuous encounter with the Spanish, and the strange events of December 1531. We’re consulting world experts and simple people whose lives have been changed by Guadalupe. We’re going to Mexico to see the tilma for ourselves.

As we find out the real story behind this modern miracle, we invite you to come along with us and discover the timeless message that once changed the world—and can do so again.
